Abstract
Usklađivanje obiteljskih obaveza i plaćenog rada novi je izazov s kojim se suočavaju, manje ili više dobro, socijalne države. Uključivanje žena na tržište rada donosi značajne promjene pa tako moderna vremena sa sobom donose liberalnije stavove o odnosima u obitelji jer oba roditelja počinju pridonositi kućnome budžetu te u jednakoj mjeri sudjeluju u odgoju djece iako je patrijarhalizam još uvijek prisutan u mnogim dijelovima Svijeta te predstavlja problem kojeg je potrebno iskorijeniti. Unatoč propisima koji propisuju jednakost žena i muškaraca, diskriminacija žena na tržištu rada je u velikoj mjeri i dalje prisutna. U radu je kronološki opisan razvoj hrvatske socijalne politike te su prikazani čimbenici koji su utjecali na formiranje današnje hrvatske socijalne politike. Nakon uvida u socijalni razvoj Hrvatske raspravlja se o važnosti obiteljske i populacijske politike i njihovoj razlici. Naglasak je stavljen na Zakon o rodiljnim i roditeljskim potporama koji sadrži prava koja ostvaruju trudnice za vrijeme trudnoće, odnosno majke nakon rođenja djeteta zbog skrbi o djetetu i njegovom razvoju. U zadnjem je dijelu kratko predstavljen položaj roditelja na tržištu rada te problemi s kojima se nerijetko suočavaju.
Abstract (english)
Harmonization of family responsibilities and paid work is a new challenge facing, more or less good, the welfare state. Women's involvement in the labor market brings significant changes so modern times bring more liberal views on family relations because both parents begin to contribute to the house allowance and participate equally in raising their children even though patriarchy is still present in many parts of the world and represents a problem that needs to be eradicated. Despite regulations that provide equality of men and women, discrimination against women in the labor market is still largely present. The paper chronologically describes the development of Croatian social policy and presents the factors that influenced the formation of today's Croatian social policy. After insight into the social development of Croatia, the importance of family and population policy and their difference is discussed. Emphasis is placed on the Law on Maternity and Parental Benefits which contains the rights exercised by pregnant women during pregnancy or mothers after childbirth for child care and development. The last part briefly presents position of parents in the labor market and problems they often face.
