Abstract (english) | Unlike most legal information books, which are designed "for law students or for people handling their own legal affairs," Legal Information: How to Find It, How to Use It acknowledges that "people seek legal information for other reasons as well" and that legal literature "can be valuable to researchers from a wide range of disciplines." Its goal is to "help make legal literature more accessible and less mysterious." (preface, p. vii) Indeed, by discussing resources found in general libraries as well as those resources traditionally found only in law libraries, by incorporating information from other disciplines, and by using a framework similar to the research outline often used in those disciplines, the author achieves that goal. |
