Abstract
Pravno uređenje udruga na području Republike Hrvatske regulirano je Zakonom o udrugama. Udruge su neprofitne organizacije koje djeluju, u skladu sa zakonskim načelima, u korist javnog interesa i općeg dobra. Udruge se smatraju predstavnicima civilnog društva. Postupak osnivanja udruga izričito je propisan zakonom. Povijesni razvoj udruga na teritoriju Republike Hrvatske seže još od osamdesetih godina prošlog stoljeća, kada su udruge djelovale kroz različite inicijative s ciljem promicanja društvenih i javnih interesa. Upis u registar udruga zahtjeva posebnu dokumentaciju koju su osnivači dužni prikupiti prije podnošenja zahtjeva za upis u Registar udruga. Danas na teritoriju Republike Hrvatske djeluje više od 60.000 domaćih i stranih udruga, a iste promiču i štite interese onih najugroženijih.
Abstract (english)
The legal regulation of associations in territory of the Republic of Croatia is regulated by the Law on Associations. Associations are non-profit organizations that act, in accordance with legal principles, for the benefit of the public interest and the common good. Associations are considered to be representatives of civil society. The procedure for founding associations is explicitly prescribed by the law. The historical development of associations in the territory of the Republic of Croatia dates back to the eighties of the last century, when associations operated through various initiatives aimed at promoting social and public interests. Entry in the Register of Associations requires special documentation that the founders are obliged to collect before submitting the request for entry in the Register of Associations. Today, more than 60,000 domestic and foreign associations operate in the territory of the Republic of Croatia, and they promote and protect the interests of the most endangered.
