Abstract (english) | In March 2000, the Lisbon Strategy accepted open methods of coordination in the field of employment and social policy. These methods have been spreading to incorporate education, health policy, social care, pension insurance, consumer protection, etc. However, what is the OMC? Is it a policy instrument, a method, a process or a strategy? The collected papers approach the OMC from many different angles, providing both public and private law perspectives, to address many doubts and dilemmas concerning the application and usage of the OMC, and to develop workable solutions. |
