Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu autor istražuje upravu grada Slavonskog Broda u periodu od 1919. do 1920. godine. Ovaj period obilježen je značajnim političkim promjenama nakon Prvog svjetskog rata, kada je Hrvatska postala dio Kraljevine Srba, Hrvata i Slovenaca. U radu je poseban fokus na organizaciju gradskog poglavarstva i ulogu gradskog zastupstva u donošenju odluka. Autor analizira kako su ove institucije djelovale u okviru promjenjivog političkog konteksta, kao i njihovu ulogu u oblikovanju uprave grada i ostvarivanju javnih politika. Pored toga, autor istražuje i utjecaj uprave na ključna područja kao što su zdravstvo, financije, školstvo te vjerski život. Analizira kako su se ove institucije nosile s izazovima i promjenama tog vremena te koji su bili glavni prioriteti i postignuća u tim područjima.
Abstract (english)
In this thesis, the author explores the governance of the city of Slavonski Brod during the period from 1919 to 1920. This period was marked by significant political changes following World War I when Croatia became part of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats, and Slovenes. The thesis focuses particularly on the organization of the city government and the role of the city council in decision-making. The author analyzes how these institutions operated within a changing political context, as well as their role in shaping the city's administration and implementing public policies. Furthermore, the author investigates the influence of the administration on key areas such as healthcare, finances, education, and religious life. He examines how these institutions dealt with the challenges and changes of that time and what were the main priorities and achievements in those areas.
