Abstract
U radu se opisuje i analizira pojam izbjeglice kao i uvjeti koji su potrebni za stjecanje izbjegličkog statusa analizom i primjenom relevantnih pravnih izvora, posebice Konvencije o pravnom statusu izbjeglica i propisa europskog zakonodavstva u okviru Europske unije. Jedno od polazišta za određivanje izbjegličkog statusa je uz navedene termine i institut UNHCR kao UN-ova agencija osnovana s ciljem zaštite prava i dobrobiti izbjeglica. More zakonodavstva uz pojedine slučajeve o kojima su odlučivala nadležna tijela nacionalnih država koje nisu države članice Europske unije te se provodi analiza instituta azila i njegovih posebnosti kao ključnog elementa izbjegličkog prava u svijetu i Europskoj uniji. Na kraju rada, provodi se analiza relevantne statistike u Hrvatskoj i svijetu, posebice glede broja izbjeglica i azilanata kao i njihovih zahtjeva. Less

This graduate thesis describes and analyzes the refugee term as well as the conditions required for the acquisition of refugee status by analysis and application of relevant legal sources, in particular the Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and the Regulations of European Legislation within the European Union. One of the starting points for determining refugee status is the UNHCR as an UN agency, with the aim of protecting the rights and welfare of refugees. The... More graduate thesis also deals with the practical cases of European legislation with individual cases decided by the competent authorities of non-EU member states, and analyzes the asylum institute and its specialties as a key element of the refugee right in the world and in the European Union.
