Abstract (english)	The aim of this paper is to explore the historical development of diplomatic law. It will list the significant features of the development of diplomatic law and analyze key characteristics throughout six historical periods. The paper presents in detail the role of envoys as diplomatic personnel, from temporary (ad hoc) envoys to the esstablishment of permanent diplomatic representations.
