The Constitution is the most important legal document of a country, through which the state directs its development as well as the development of its political, economic, and legal life within its borders. All laws must be in accordance with the Constitution to be enforceable in a legitimate manner. To ensure unquestionable conformity, judges are selected to serve in the highest and perhaps most crucial positi-ons in a country, such as the Constitutional Court in the Republic of Croatia and the Federal Republic of Germany, and the Supreme Court in the United States of America. This paper will analyze the mo-dels of constitutional adjudication in the three countries mentioned above and will discuss the issues related to the methods of selecting judges for the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court. Additio-nally, it will address the problem of political interference in the appointment of judges for the Constitu-tional Court in the Republic of Croatia and the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as the Supreme Court in the United States of America.
