Abstract
Cilj ovoga rada je pružiti razumijevanje o pitanju digitalne besmrtnosti tj. što se to točno događa s podacima nakon što osoba umre. Istražujemo koja sve prava mi kao korisnici internetskih usluga, društvenih mreža i aplikacija imamo u pogledu zaštite svojih podataka kako za života, isto tako daleko važnije nakon naše smrti. Rad se sastoji od općenitog dijela koji je usmjeren na opisivanje pojma digitalne besmrtnosti. Digitalna besmrtnost tj. digitalni život poslije smrti bavi se pitanjima organiziranja, zaštite i upravljanja podacima poslije smrti njihova korisnika, zaštite digitalnog identiteta, pitanjem tko će biti nositelj tih podataka i hoće li jednostavno doći do njihovog brisanja. Digitalna besmrtnost danas je prisutna na različite načine, od društvenih mreža pa sve do usluga, aplikacija i projekata čiji je glavni cilj usmjeren na organiziranje i upravljanje digitalnim identitetom nakon smrti osobe. Završni dio rada usmjeren je na perspektivu digitalne besmrtnosti u Republici Hrvatskoj.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this paper is to provide an understanding of the issue of digital immortality, i.e. what exactly happens to data after a person dies. We are exploring what rights do we as users of internet services, social networks and applications have regarding the protection of our data both during our lifetime and, more importantly, after our death. The work consists of a general part that is aimed at describing the concept of digital immortality. Digital immortality, or digital life after death, deals with the issues of organizing, protecting and managing data after the death of its users, protecting digital identity, thus the question of who will be the bearer of this data and whether it will simply be deleted. Today, digital immortality is present in a variety of ways, from social media to services, applications and projects, whose main goal is to organize and manage a person's digital identity after death. The final part of the paper focuses on the perspective of digital immortality in the Republic of Croatia.
