This graduate thesis deals with the concept of industrial design and license agreements. The first part of the thesis emphasizes industrial design and its position in the current Croatian legislation. The thesis also explains the ways of acquiring industrial design and the protection obtained through the corresponding entry into the Registry of the State Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Croatia. The concept of the license agreement is also defined as well as the various rights and obligations that arise from the agreement. In the work is also explained the types of the license agreement and the main characteristics. A great devoted to resolving disputes deal of attention is between the contracting parties as well as the possibilities for their alternative solution. The forms of civil protection are described and the growing contemporary problem of counterfeiting in the context of industrial design. The last part of the paper deals with enforcement of industrial design and industrial design licenses as well as other ways of termination of the license agreement.
